FT1230 External Skiving Tools

Hose cover stripping tools designed to remove the rubber cover from wire reinforced hose prior to attaching crimp fittings. The tools are designed for use either in a standard shop vise, lathe chuck, drill press, Eaton Aeroquip assembly machine or by hand.

Yellow Chromate Mandrel (for crimp fittings)

When selecting skive tools, refer to Eaton document A-EQCR-TM001-E for proper skive length of hose sizes. Tool Replacement parts: For hand skiving operations: FT1279 Auger attachment permits efficient skiving of rubber covered wire reinforced hose. Designed for use with FT1229, FT1230, and FT1231 skiving tools, the FT1279 auger attachment promotes quick completion of hand skiving operations.
