Overview:
  • Garlock Premium Carbon Packing offer field proven performance, versatility and longevity. The distinctive design using high purity staple carbon fiber results in carbon packing that can conform to shape better compared to continuous carbon filament packing. This better fit contributes to improved sealing, lower friction and greater longevity. Durable, non-contaminating carbon packing designed for extended service against strong caustics, acids, and slurries. Style 5000 is a tough, low-abrasion carbon fiber packing impregnated with PTFE and treated with a high temperature break-in lubricant.

  • Garlock 5000-PBI packing is the most versatile non-contaminating packing available to the pulp and paper industry.
  • Replaces conventional packing in all applications including jordans,liquor pumps, refiners, claflins, digesters, and chlorine pumps.
  • The added plus of durable Celanese PBI fiber corners provides increased abrasion resistance and leakage control, fast break-in and requires fewer adjustments through changes in operating conditions.
  • Contains no graphite.
