Flexco & MLT Announce Product Updates – What You Need to Know

Murdock Industrial would like to share an important update from Flexco, a key partner in mechanical belt fastening systems. These changes affect several MLT-manufactured products distributed by Flexco, including the Invisible Flexible Splice (IFS), Self-Lock Fastener Series, and MS Fastener Systems.

1. Invisible Flexible Splice (IFS)

Flexco will no longer stock all options of the Invisible Flexible Splice (IFS) in its facilities. However, customers can still order IFS products through MLT France with a longer lead time.
Some limited inventory remains available for short-term fulfillment — once depleted, the IFS will transition to a non-stock item.

What this means for you:

• Orders can still be placed through Flexco Customer Service.

• Expect longer lead times as inventory transitions.

• Consider stocking up now if you require quick-turn availability.

2. Self-Lock Fastener Series

The Self-Lock fastening system, also manufactured by MLT, is being phased out of the Flexco product line.
Flexco has provided cross-reference alternatives to ensure there is no disruption to your operations.

Key points:

• Existing inventory will remain available until it is depleted.

• Once sold out, Self-Lock fasteners will be discontinued.

• Customers can contact Flexco Customer Service for remaining stock availability and recommended replacement options.

3. MS25 Fastener Pin Updates

Flexco has also introduced a design change for MS25 fasteners:

• The hinge pin color is now black (previously clear-wrapped).

• The diameter has increased from 4.0 mm to 4.6 mm.

• The new and old pins are fully interchangeable, with no change to material or performance.
